From the moment we met Nicole, her energy and confidence was contagious. A student athlete, Nicole’s assuredness made her a natural fit in the fast-paced environment of DMC Atlanta. It was with great pride that we had the pleasure this summer of promoting Nicole into an Assistant Management role — a coveted position here at DMC Atlanta, signifying her progression within our firm’s Management Program!
Born & raised in Jacksonville, FL, Nicole grew up as an athletic, outgoing child of two successful entrepreneurial parents. Watching her mom run a successful construction company, an uncommon industry for women, Nicole knew one day she would also make a name for herself in the business world. When her mom encouraged her to first start exercising her natural leadership skills within sports, Nicole picked up softball and never looked back.
After being offered an athletic scholarship for softball, Nicole attended the University of South Carolina at Aiken and played at a competitive level for 4 years. Learning the arts of discipline and time management, she juggled practices, games, school, and extracurricular activities while successfully graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing!
When her older brother recommended that she start a career within sales to improve on her communication and relationship-building skills, Nicole took his advice and started working at our firm’s Jacksonville location. When the opportunity to work at our headquarters in Atlanta presented itself, she jumped at the chance and relocated with her significant other and her puppy, Cash, back in May 2016!
A big believer in herself and her abilities, Nicole came to Atlanta ready to advance her career and make a difference here at DMC Atlanta — a goal she has not only achieved but exceeded. Upon her first one-on-one meeting with our CEO, Adam Dorfman, Nicole remembers Adam stating, “I have your back and will do whatever I can to support you and see you succeed.” From that moment on, she knew she was in the right place and would do whatever it takes to make the DMC Atlanta team proud.
Learning from Adam on how to lead by example, Nicole began improving her team management and interviewing skills month by month. When asked what helped her achieve her recent promotion to Assistant Management, Nicole answers, “Besides believing in myself through and through, I have extreme gratitude to Tia and Savanah for the talent they onboard here at DMC Atlanta. I get to work with ‘Atlanta’s Best & Brightest‘, and they push me to be a better person every day.” Nicole also extends thanks to VP of Development, Jenna, fellow Assistant Manager, Austin, and HR Manger, Rae and reminisces on the many relationships and friendships she has formed over the years and how each has developed her in some fashion.
When she’s not motivating our entire team, you can find Nicole working out, taking Cash to the dog park, traveling back to home and to the beach, or hanging out with colleagues outside of work! As Nicole reminds us daily that we’re each worthy and deserving of greatness, we want to extend a HUGE thank you and congratulations to her for being so inspiring. We couldn’t be more proud of her promotion and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes in her new position!
